McCowan collects four Top-10 outings on Hell Tour; Runner-up at Red Hill Raceway

Losing Monday's opening event to Mother Nature, Dillon McCowan and the Adam Family Motorsports team rolled into Benton (Mo.) Speedway on Tuesday evening to kick off the fourth week on the DIRTcar Summer Nationals Hell Tour.

Finishing eighth in the $5,000-to-win opener, McCowan was outside the Top-10 at Spoon River Speedway (Canton, Ill.) on Wednesday before picking back up at LaSalle (Ill.) Speedway with a fourth-place run.

With $10,000 on the line Friday night, Dillon picked up a heat race win and started shotgun on the field in the 40-lap feature. McCowan led the first half of the A-Main before Jason Feger got around and forced him to settle for second-place.

McCowan closed out the holiday weekend with another Top-10 on Saturday at Tri-State Speedway (Haubstadt, Ind.) before finishing 11th in the week's finale at Duck River Raceway Park (Shelbyville, Tenn.) on Sunday.

McCowan wound up fifth in the week four point standings.
