Memberships
(Memberships. not required for 2016) Miniakota 2016 points and pay.
Drivers are not required to pay a membership to race or receive points for the season. Memberships make you eligible for points fund $ raised by the club. Payout at season conclusion. Payment must be made via check or cash separate from your payout check. A driver is only awarded points purse funds on the number of points he accumulates after his membership is received.

We track 3 separate points systems within our series.
Winged Series.
Nonwing Series
Cup Series. (combined with 2 toss outs allowed)

Our "Cup Series" is the winged and nonwing races combined for 1 champion. Cup series points will allow for 2 toss outs during the season. So if we have 22 shows, and you only make 20, you still have a full season of points. If you race all 22 shows, a driver can toss out your worst two finishes will be removed. (this is for the cup series points.) Sub driver points also count.
(wing and nonwing points are straight up.) no toss outs allowed in this points series, Sub driver points do count count.

Each driver is allowed 2 sub drivers for the overall season(this is not for each series but overall) if he is not available to race. They must check in for that driver prior to hot laps on the night. Sub drivers points count for all series.

Rookie is considered anyone that has ran 4 races or less with the miniakota in previous years. If they have ran more then 4 shows they are past rookie status.

Miniakota Micro Sprints are a group of modified midget dedicated to enhancing the skills & enjoyment in open wheel racing at an affordable entry level. We are based in the center of a 3 state region: Minnesota, Iowa & South Dakota. The Miniakota Micro’s were established in 2003 by Wade & Angie Huisman. With lots of help we have enjoyed 10 successful years of Growth & stability in both rules & participation. Do not be fooled by the size of this ride, as it has become one of the most sauté after tools in the open wheel racing. This 600cc sprint car sports 130 HP & can reach speeds well in exes of 120 mph. Intelligently we do not put ourselves on tracks that allow ourselves to push the top limits of these cars. Traditionally we record tracks ranging from 1/8-1/4miles. What makes this open wheel sport more appealing to its members is the average cost of motors $2500 & the potential to win $500-$2500! Higher divisions in the national scene race for $10,000.

Objection: To put into motion a local 600cc traveling program to enrich both the hobbyist and potential youngster that wishes to hone his skills.. It doesn't require a huge payback when you don’t have big $ invested. A $6,000 car will let you race anyone in the nation.
