GIVENS STILL SITS ATOP LATE MODEL STANDINGS
Givens Takes Slim NCRA Late Model Point Lead into Thunder Hill Speedway This Saturday Night!
Park City, Kansas – June 20, 2018-Looking to stay atop the current point standings, Brandon Givens of Hutchinson, Kansas leads the National Championship Racing Association of Park City, Kansas presented by Precise Racing Products crate late model division heads to Thunder Hill Speedway in Mayetta, Kansas this coming Saturday night.
Givens will come into point race number five of the season with a very slim five-point lead over veteran Delbert Smith. Daniel Smith is just ten points out of the point lead while Dusty Leonard sits fourth, twenty points out of the lead and three-time and defending tour champion Chris Kratzer fifty points out and fifth in the standings.
Touring regulars in the top ten and expected to compete include Jimmy Segraves, Nebraska driver Cory Dumpert, Adam Popp, Adam Schrag and Tony Foster.
The tour last appearance at Thunder Hill, back on May 26, saw Dumpert pick pick up the victory over a sixteen-car field.
Gates open at 5:00 PM with race action slated for an 8:00 PM start time. Adult grandstand admission is just $15 while children 12 and under will be admitted into the grandstands for free. Adult pit passes are $30 while kid pit passes are $15.
This is the 35th race season for the NCRA late model division and race number six on the thirteen-race schedule. In the staging area: After this Saturday night’s event at Thunder Hill Speedway, the tour will gear up for an Independence Holiday double-header as they tackle the Belleville High Banks in Belleville, Kansas on Tuesday night, July 3 before heading south to 81 Speedway in Park City on the Fourth of July.
