66th OREILLY AUTO PARTS HUTCHINSON NATIONALS IS IN THE BOOKS
The Mid-Summer Classic ran for the 66th time July 14-15 & 16 at the Kansas State Fairgrounds in Hutchinson, Ks.
The O'Reilly Auto Parts 66th Hutchinson Grand National Auto Races did not disappoint despite triple digit temps all three days.
A quick shout-out to all those who competed and attended this years event despite the extremely hot weather conditions.
Here is the list of Champions.
*305 Sprint Car: Zach Blurton, Quinter, Ks.
*"B" Mod: Gabe Hodges, Lebo, Ks.
*Super Stock: Jerrod Reimer, Hutchinson, Ks.
*Mini Stock: Jayce Reimer, Hutchinson, Ks.
*Late Model: Kip Hughes, Enid, Ok.
*Non-Wing Sprint Car: Ray Seeman, Jetmore, Ks.
*Modified: Tyler Davis, Haysville, Ks.
*Street Stock: Scott Miller, Hutchinson, Ks.
*AAAModified: Kevin Kemp, Maize, Ks.
The 66th Edition did produce some "stand out" moments. It was the first time in the History of the Nationals that a Father - Son won Championship's on the same night. Jerrod Reimer (Super Stock) and his son Jayce Reimer (Mini Stock) both picked up their Championship on Thursday night. There have been Father - Son Champions during the same year, but not on the same night until this year.
Three drivers defended their 2021 title. Scott Miller (Street Stock), Kip Hughes (Late Model), and Jerrod Reimer, (Super Stock).
