Rusty Schlenk Scores Valvoline American Late Model Iron-Man Series Victory at Millstream Speedway

FINDLAY, OHIO (August 8, 2025)– The Valvoline American Late Model Iron-Man Series Fueled by VP would return to action on Friday evening with the opening event of a Buckeye State doubleheader of racing action at Millstream Speedway in Findlay, OH and Rusty Schlenk of McClure, OH take the lead back away from Ryan Missler on lap thirteen and would hold off a late challenge from Clint Keenan to score a $5,000 payday.

The victory by the 39-year-old Schlenk would be his third with the series in 2005 and would be his 39th career Valvoline American Late Model Series Fueled by VP Racing Fuels and would come aboard the Tyler Borck owned Domination Race Car powered by a Clements Race Engine and carries sponsorship from Terry Henricks Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep/RAM, Tom Finch Automotive, Tri-State Pole Barns, Buckeye Concrete Coatings, Landrum Performance Springs, Integra Shocks, Domination Race Cars, Dominator Race Products, VP Racing Fuels, Willy’s Carb and Dyno Shop, and Velocita USA.

Rusty Schlenk would take the lead at the start of the Valvoline A-Main event, with Ryan Missler, Clint Keenan, Matt Miller, and Devin Shiels giving chase. The front pair of Schlenk and Missler would put some distance back to third place Keenan, with Schlenk startling to lap slower traffic on lap seven. Missler would quickly close on Schlenk and would take the lead with an outside move exiting turn four on lap nine. The front pair would continue to work traffic, with Schlenk retaking the lead from Missler with an outside move at the exit of turn four on lap thirteen. Schlenk would maintain a comfortable lead over Missler, who would make contact with the outside retaining wall in turn three and four on lap nineteen, causing heavy right-rear body damage to his machine. Keenan would quickly catch up to Missler and would claim the second position from Missler on lap twenty-two. Schlenk would build his lead, only to see Keenan start catching Schlenk with five laps remaining on lap twenty-five. Missler would lose oil pressure on lap twenty-seven and pull to the infield, while Keenan would pull alongside Schlenk at one point entering turn three on lap twenty-eight. Schlenk would keep Keenan at bay and see the checkered flag first, with Keenan taking runner-up honors, while Miller completed the podium in third. Shiels and Rod Conley would complete the top five finishers. Sixth through tenth at the finish would be Todd Brennan, Rob Anderzack, 17th starting Ryan Markham, Casey Noonan, and Nathon Loney.

The next event for the Valvoline American Late Model Iron-Man Late Model Series Fueled by VP will be on Saturday August 9 at Wayne County Speedway in Orrville, OH for the Don Hans Gross Memorial, paying $5,000 to win and $500 to start
