Midwest Power Series

Series Information

The Dekalb/Asgrow Seed Midwest Power Series is a 360 winged sprint car series based in the upper Midwest. It was formed by Randy Grages of Midwest Power Equipment in 2015 as a “series within a series” featuring added purse money at several UMSS 360 winged sprint car shows. It continued to gain momentum in 2016, and in 2017 Greg Parent of GRP Motorsports out of Stillwater came on board as a race sponsor and series point fund sponsor. Additional sponsorship was secured for heat winners, dash winners, hard charger awards and hard luck awards in 2018. In both 2018 and 2019, the level of competition, especially at the Jackson Motorplex, was extremely strong. The Midwest Power Series made its first venture down to Knoxville Raceway in 2019 and drew a whopping 48 car field. With GRP Motorsports leading the way, the former “series within a series” continues to grow with plans already underway for a tremendous 2020 season. More details will be announced soon, and sprint car drivers and fans will continue to see the sport of 360 winged sprint car racing here in our area move in a forward direction. Special thanks to the MSTS 360 Sprints for working together with the MPS at the Jackson Motorplex in both 2018 and 2019.
