(Pulaski, PA)…Racing action in the various Hovis Auto & Truck Supply RUSH racing divisions has continued at a torrid pace through the second half of July in spite of Mother Nature’s continued efforts to rain on race day. Christian Schneider scored the biggest victory of his career as he defeated the Series’ regular and captured the 36th Annual Jook George Classic in the Hovis Auto & Truck Supply RUSH Late Model Flynn’s Tire/Gunter’s Honey Touring Series at Pittsburgh Pennsylvania Motor Speedway. In addition, Jeremy Wonderling prevailed as the victory after a great three-way battle for the top spot in the RUSH Late Model Flynn’s Tire/Gunter’s Honey Touring Series’ return to The Dirt Track at Genesee. Cody VanGuilder tallied his career first victory in Hovis Auto & Truck Supply RUSH Pro-Mod action while Chas Wolbert continues to dominate Hovis Auto & Truck Supply Sportsman Modified action. The RUSH Stock Car Division continues to grow and become more competitive as Kaden Michael, Darr Diegelman, and William Baker all tallying victories while Blaze Myers added to his win total in RUSH Sprint Car action.
Hovis Auto & Truck Supply RUSH Late Model Flynn’s Tire/Gunter’s Honey Touring Series action returned to The Dirt Track at Genesee for the first time in more than two years on July 22nd. Chad Homan and David Pangrazio led the field to the green at the 1/3-mile oval with Homan going on to lead the first eight circuits before Jeremy Wonderling took the top spot. Wonderling and Homan then distanced themselves from the rest of the field before a Paul Grigsby spin on caused a caution and set up a two-lap shootout to the finish. Wonderling, Homan and Kyle Hardy then battled for the top spot, at times running three wide, for the final two circuits. At the checkered flag it was Wonderling scoring the victory by a mere.428 seconds over Homan. Hardy settled for third with Bryce Davis fourth and Pangrazio finishing fifth.
Hovis Auto & Truck Supply RUSH Late Model Flynn’s Tire/Gunter’s Honey Series action then moved to Pittsburgh Pennsylvania Motor Speedway on Saturday, July 26th for the 36th Annual Jook George Steel City Classic.
