Stambaugh dominates GLSS feature, UNOH Racer Hinds wins third Modified feature in exciting fashion, and Sherman scores another Thunderstock win at Lim

Limaland Motorsports Park was back in action on Friday night with the GLSS Ohio CAT Sprint Cars making their final visit of 2025 with Elida Ohio’s Max Stambaugh picked up his 5th win on the season in decisive fashion in the Smith Motorsports No 71H.

In Lock Sixteen Thunderstock feature action, No. 60 Todd Sherman won his sixth feature of the year and stretched his points lead heading into next Friday’s Season Championship night.

In Bath Masters DIRTcar UMP action it was UNOH Racer Aidan Hinds grabbing his third feature win of 2025, and setting up a logjam at the top of the points standings heading into the final points night.

The GLSS Ohio CAT Sprint Cars were first with their 25 lap feature event. No. 23 Devon Dobie and No. 31 Jac Nickles would make up the front row as the field came to the green flag, with the caution flag coming out nearly immediately for the No 37 of Noah Dunlap bicycling and nearly getting upside down before coming to a stop against the outside wall in turn two, while No. 49 Gregg Dalman, and No. 17X Mason Hannagan spun in the middle of the track after making contact. As the field got lined back up for a complete restart, Dobie charged to the lead with Nickles and Stambaugh battling for second until lap 3, when Stambaugh set his sights on the race lead. The leaders got into lapped traffic on lap six, and Stambaugh was able to pick his way through the traffic and grab the lead on lap 9 and setting sail. No 85 Dustin Daggett got by Dobie on lap 12, but Dobie battled back and the two double D’s raced wheel to wheel for the runner up spot from lap 16 to lap 20 until Daggett was able to get by for good. By then Stambaugh was long gone and would pick up the win over Daggett, Dobie, Nickles, and No. 17 Jared Horstman.

Next up were the Lock Sixteen Thunderstock in their fifteen lap feature event. UNOH Racer Parker Derks in the No. 1 and No. 8 Zach Rush would lead the field to the green flag, but by the end of lap one, No. 60 Todd Sherman would charge to the lead. No. 26 Justin Long would battle his way to second on lap two, and would try to run down Sherman, to no avail. Caution flags on lap seven and lap ten would bunch the field up, but Sherman would be too fast in the Mark Matson owned No. 60. Sherman picked up the win over Long, No. 22T Tony Anderson, No. 1 Parker Derks, and No. 29C Chris Bitters.

The Bath Masters DIRTcar UMP Modifieds would wrap up the nights racing action with their 20 lap A Main. No. 5X Jarrod Klay and No. 34X Shane O’Connor would make up the front row with O’Connor taking the early lead. No. 01 Aidan Hinds would battle past Klay on lap two, with No. 16 Jeff Koz following on lap three to grab third. Caution would wave on lap 4 as the No. 21C of Drew Charlson slowed on the front stretch. On the restart, Koz would get a great restart and slip by Hinds for second, but the caution flag would wave before the lap was completed for a pileup in turn four, negating the pass. On the next restart attempt, Hinds was ready for Koz and held him off, setting his sights on O’ Connor. Caution would wave again on lap eight for No. 82 Brennan Sherman and No. 1 Eric Kinney getting together and coming to a stop in turn 4. On the restart, Hinds began his challenge for the lead, as he and O’Connor would battle side by side for seven laps, until Hinds was able to grab the lead on lap fifteen. The caution flag would wave one more time on lap 16 for No. 1X JJ Butler, spinning in turn two. On the restart, Hinds was able to pull away and win over O’Connor, Koz, No. 14 Dalton Lane, and No. 9C Troy Cattarene. This sets up a points battle between O’Connor leading by just ten points over Hinds heading into the final points race next Friday, July 25th. Koz is 34 points out of first with No. 82 Brennan Sherman 42 points back, and No. 65 Todd Sherman 54 points out of first.

Limaland Motorsports Park wraps up the 2025 points battles next Friday July 25th with the Season Championship Night presented by Alexander and Bebout. The Bath Masters DIRTcar UMP Modifieds and Lock Sixteen Thunderstocks will wrap up their Limaland and NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series points season, with the Dirt Track Truck Series also in action. The rescheduled Meet the Drivers autograph session will be held prior to racing action as well.
