Eighth-place showing in DLM Dream preliminary feature at Eldora Speedway
Opening up the weekend with a $20,000-to-win FloRacing show, Garrett Smith was one of 85 Super Late Models at Eldora Speedway (Rossburg, Ohio) on Wednesday evening for the 31st-annual Dirt Late Model Dream.
Garrett made the opener by winning his B-Main and started the week with a 23rd-place finish. Participating in Thursday's preliminary night, Smith made up two spots in his heat race to earn a spot in the A-Main before he charged forward from 17th-to-8th in the $30,000-to-win feature.
Starting on the front-row of a Saturday heat race, Garrett fell back to sixth and just missed a transfer position in his last chance showdown despite making up three spots.
