Broken ball joint sidelines Gray at I-75

The Jimmy Gray Motorsports team made a mid-week trip to I-75 Raceway in Sweetwater, Tennessee, on Tuesday for the Red Clay 602 Series. Unfortunately, Jim had bad luck on the opening lap he suffered a broken a ball joint on the Warrior Race Car and he had to limp the 47 into the infield where we finished 17th.

We didn’t have the speed we needed during qualifying, so we hoped to test a few things during the race, including a different gear, which we borrowed from Shane McDowell. It’s only the second time we’ve been there since they reconfigured the track awhile back and starting way in the back we didn’t have anything to lose. Unfortunately, we didn’t get the chance.

JGM hasn't decided where it's headed this weekend, but we know we couldn’t go anywhere without out great partners: Definite Wellness; Victory Fun Park; Powers Machine; Fanning Farms; Dry Creek Sales & Storage; RaceProMarketing; and the Rusted Donkey. Thanks also to Warrior Race Cars; Southern Racing Enterprises and Shane McDowell Racing.
