Starks Eager for Big Weekend of Racing at Skagit and Grays Harbor

Inside Line Promotions – PUYALLUP, Wash. (July 22, 2025) – Trey Starks is heading into another marquee event at Skagit Speedway as a favorite.

Starks invades the dirt oval in Alger, Wash., this Friday and Saturday during the Fred Brownfield 360 Nationals presented by Bob’s Burgers & Brew before heading to Grays Harbor Raceway in Elma, Wash., on Sunday. The three nights wrap up the Western Sprint Tour Speedweek presented by the Sprint Car Challenge Tour.

“We’re looking forward to another big event at Skagit as well as getting another race in at Grays Harbor,” he said. “We’ve run well at both tracks a lot the last few years so we have a lot of confidence.”

Starks holds a 64-point lead in the 360ci winged sprint car championship standings at Skagit Speedway entering the event thanks to three wins and five top fives during six starts in the division this season.

Last month, Starks captured the Jim Raper Memorial Super Dirt Cup at the track. This weekend, he aims for his third 360 Nationals title in the last four years after topping the event in 2022 and last season.

“We’ve been really fast throughout both events for many years, but it took a long time before we were able to capitalize at the 360 Nationals,” he said. “We finally did that three years ago and then backed it up last year. Dirt Cup has been the same thing for so long and this year we finally got over that hurdle as well. So it’s exciting heading into the 360 Nationals as the defending event champion as well as this year’s Dirt Cup champion.”

The weekend concludes with an appearance at Grays Harbor Raceway, where Starks has finished second twice this season.

“We don’t have a lot of laps in Elma this year, but have done well the couple of times we’ve raced there,” he said. “It’d be nice to get our first win of the season there on Sunday.”
