Carlos Ahumada Jr. earns 3rd-place finish at Vado Speedway Park
The Hacienda Motorsports team returned to action on Saturday in the 24-car USRA Modified class at Vado Speedway Park in Vado, New Mexico. During the evening, driver Carlos Ahumada Jr. raced to his second consecutive podium finish at the 3/8-mile clay oval.
Ahumada first won his heat race from the pole in his Hacienda Mechanical, Inc. No. 65x Modified. He then started 10th in the 25-lap feature. He methodically climbed through the field and grabbed third place on the final lap. He finished in the third spot behind Fito Gallardo and John Neal Reid, with Peyton Gallardo coming home fourth and Jake Gallardo taking fifth.
